It happens extremely frequently, but not every time. I'm 90% its a problem with IB but I'm wondering if you can help.

Issue: Limit entry order gets filled (e.g. EURUSD 3Mil sell LMT), child orders that were already residing on the IB server (with the same 3M size) become live but their size has inexplicably been changed to a lesser amount (usually to 1M, but not always, it could be a random number 254000)! I have seen this usually happen when the parent order gets filled in a quick price spike, not so much when the order gets filled in waves.

This is with my demo advisor TWS account that I'm experimenting with, but without fixing it is a disaster waiting to happen, if it happens with live advisor accounts too. This has resulted in naked positions multiple times. Imagine coming to the PC and instead of seeing a losing trade, you still see a position (e.g. 3mil Posiotn - 1mil StopLoss size= 2mil position)) with the price far far away from the stop-loss price.

Can you please enlighten me with what could be the issue or what I need to say to IB, if it is indeed their fault? Thank you.

Do you have Global Settings >> Trade Settings >> Use Server-Side OCO and Bracket Orders enabled?

Yes, I can't live without this safety feature, it has saved me many times. I imagine this means its an IB issue?

Yes in that case the quantities are managed by Interactive Brokers and Sierra Chart never touches the order quantities of the Attached Orders other than initially setting them when the orders are sent.

Update: This is true what we said, but there is a reason why this problem occurs and it is explained here:
