i set 'scale range user defined with auto set' keyboard shortcut to Alt + R but it doesn't work.

i tried setting a different function to Alt + R and that also doesn't work.

Alt+R by default is set to "Reload All Charts". So you would be changing this if you are really wanting it to be "Scale Range User Defined with Auto-Set".

We just tried this to ensure there was not an issue with Alt+R, as this is used by many programs for a refresh, so we wondered if the Operating System was capturing it. But it did work properly for us without an issue.

Keep in mind, when you select this, the chart will not change at all. You would need to check the Scale Settings and see if it is set to "User Defined" after you select this shortcut, as there will not be any other feedback with it.
