Trade Window Configuration - Stops Backing Up?

My bracket order config file seems to be operating correctly, it sheds risk as the trade moves profitable using offset in ticks triggered for move to BE. However if I manually override and adjust the stop to BE, (before the step 2 trigger)it will still follow the logic (which often results in backing the stop off a few ticks from even. Is there a way for my manual adjustments to override the stop logic of the atw, once i manually adjust? does this happen only when moving to BE, or when trail is triggered also?

Changing the settings on the Trade Window, after orders are submitted has no effect on the existing submitted orders.

Thanks for response, I have not changed the settings on TW. Periodically based on a print or high volume node, I will adjust the protective stop manually (Trade DOM) by click and drop, this is always tighter than the ATW config, but the trail code overrides and adheres to the stop logic upon opening of position. (which backs up the stop widening my risk). My point is if I tighten the stop manually, thats where i want it, the logic cannot read prints or HVN, so the auto trail adjustments are designed to shed risk, but have to be tweaked at times. My question is this, If my current stop logic says that I should be trailing price at -12 ticks, and the next increment would adjust it -8 ticks, if I manually move the stop to even BEFORE the next increment(manual overide) why does the logic revert and move my stop to -8? this can happen when the stop has moved to protect profits, or initial risk.I need auto trail because I cant adjust the stops fast enough at times, but I want control also. |
