Hello
I'm trying to edit a 5min bar data(open, high, low, close) on a single Intraday chart, but not having much luck.

I right click on the interested candle --> Edit/Download Data-Intraday Chart.
Then I update the necessary OHLC values. Reload Charts, doesnt do anything. Close.
Then right click --> Reload & Recalculate.
No changes effected. OHLC of the bar still remains the same in the chart...,although, I do see the values updated.

I'd like to edit the OHLC of the whole 5min candle..,not each and every tick.

pls assist, thanks

There is no method for directly modifying the Open/High/Low/Close of an Intraday bar. The bars are made from the underlying trade data, therefore you would need to determine which trades made the Open/High/Low/Close and adjust those individual trades.

The Open and Close are easy enough to find on a time-based chart, as these will be the first trade at a particular time, and then the trade just before the first trade of the following time period. The High and Low would need to be determined by looking through all the trades.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

thats unfortunate. I was able to narrow down the time period/trades to a 10 second interval and update the OHLC correctly. Now its all fine.

But would request SC to incorporate an option to either update the OHLC of a bar of a small time period say 1min (instead of going through trade level data) or provide an option to the user to ignore a particular time period(/bar), to allow us to eliminate certain data spikes in a chart, that messes up the whole chart. I dont have this issue with other trading apps.

I understand you're all getting the same Nasdaq Totalview market data for equities, and so there should be an option to filter out spiky data(abnormal price movement beyond a certain threshold in 1 or 2 seconds), as other charting programs/apps do that automatically. We just need that to be an option to the Chart config..and people needing raw data as-is, can still have that , unfiltered.

Thanks!
