I have a weird behaviour of Sierra for a little while now, I just didn't get to post it here earlier. It seems that changing the configuration of "Type Text" chart drawing makes that drawing delete the text (the text entry string gets cleared out). If I change any of the individual properties of that drawing (e.g. colour or text orientation) then it changes fine, but if I apply a pre-saved configuration to it - then it erases the text value. It has been at least 2-3 versions of Sierra chart for at least the last month or two since I've noticed this. What makes it extremely weird that I have a Sierra instance 2 with the same Sierra version, and that second instance doesn't have this behaviour - the configuration changes fine without clearing the text. But I can't figure out why it is happening on the main instance. I haven't seen this behaviour on any other chart drawing tools), aside from "Type text" - e.g. I use arrows and markers a lot and they are fine. See screen recording attached. I have no Studies running in the recorded example, just in case any of them would be interfering. Any suggestions welcome. Many thanks |

I'm not sure why but the name of the thread is wrong. It should have read "Changing "Type Text" config erases the text". Sierra support - I can't edit it but if you can then please update the thread title. Thank you. |

Thank you, yes - changing the abovementioned setting to "No" solved this.
