I have an account with Ironbeam, and am using Sierra Chart/Teton Order Routing/Denali. Ironbeam has it's day trade margins for E-mini S&P at $500 and Micro E-mini at $50. I was informed that these are not the margins that Sierra Chart utilizes for it's Trade Entry. Could you assist in helping me understand what the day trade, and overnite, margins requirement is for ES and MES. I have reviewed the Trade Account Monitor/ Balances Window, where I see my account balance, account number, etc., but no margin calcuations. Thank you |

Sierra Chart does not have any margin calculations that are done when placing orders, so we do not understand the above statement. All margin requirements are handled by your broker. If you try to place an order that will not meet the margin requirement, then the order will be rejected. This is not something that happens within the Sierra Chart software itself.
