Hello, i want to be able to manage multiple positions while trading one single symbol. How do i keep my positions seperated from each other? If i add an additional contract to an existing position, its stop gets combined with the stop of the already existing position. I dont want that. Thx |

There is not a way to have multiple positions displayed for the position line itself. That line is always going to show the Position Average Price. How that is calculated can be changed, refer to the following: Chart Settings: Open Position Average Price (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) But, you can have different Stops and Targets for different orders. If the Stops and Targets are being added to, instead of being separate, then this means that you have the "Scale In" option enabled. Refer to the following: Attached Orders: Scaling In Also check the setting for "Scale Out" to ensure it is set how you want. Refer to the section above the link for Scale In. Additionally, from each chart you are trading from you can set it to display only orders from that chart: Trade Menu: Only Orders From Chart (Trade menu) We do recommend using a separate trading account, one for each position for the same symbol: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
