Dear Sierra Chart, I find myself scaling charts and TPO charts a lot after changing windows size. My ideal would be a kind of constant proportion setting where the x and y-scaling stays in a certain ratio, but the canvas just extends or gets smaller when rescaling the window. I understand this as a combination of the currently existing settings of Scale Range: Automatic where the "canvas extends when pulling the window large while the candle sticks or TPOs stay the same as long as now new highs or lows come into the field of view. and the Scale Range: Constant Range + Set X&Y constant relationship, where the x and y proportions are fixed but the canvas does not extend when pulling the windows larger. In essence a constant x&y relationship mode with variable ranges on the x and y axis which are not determined automatically but by user choice. I hope I described this in an understandable way. I believe such a scaling mode would make working with Sierra Charts a lot quicker. Thank you very much and best regards. |

Any news here? To add to my request: If I change the window width, the visible area of the TPO changes, as a longer or shorter period is simply displayed. If I change the height of the chart window, the TPO is compressed, as the range of the y-axis remains the same and must be accommodated on the now smaller window height. Is there a mode where the height of the window can be changed and more or less of the y-axis is visible, just like on the x-axis, but the basic scale proportions remain the same so that the TPO is not compressed? Thank you very much |

Hi John thanks, the x&y is great when zooming in&out. But if I scale the chart window the following occurs like in the screen shots. My idea would be to have the same behavior for scaling in y direction as for scaling in x-direction. Start https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1746514831869.png TPOs about square y-direction window size decreased https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=174651493129.png TPOs get compressed and turn into rectangles x- direction window size increased https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1746514905538.png TPOs stay square |
