Order quantity modification from chart window

I used to could change the order quantity on a chart that has an attached trade window by clicking on the order line quantity. A menu would then pop up and I could adjust the quantity on an order that has not yet been filled. This was so on SIM or live trading. My problem is now when I clik the quantity on the order line NO MENU appears. Is there some setting somewhere I need to look at to make the menu appear? I have looked at and tried different ideas from the support forum, but nothing works. |

You should have the quantity window show up. First, make sure you are actually selecting the "Quantity" item on the order line. Selecting any other part of the line will not give you the quantity window. Second, you can only change the quantity on a working order. If this is an open position line, then you can not change that quantity. Third, if neither of the above are the issue, then select "Window >> Reset Windows" to reset the positions of the windows to their default, as we have to believe that the appropriate window is opening, but is showing off-screen somewhere. After selecting "Reset Windows" select the quantity button on the order line again to get the window to show up. It is a working order and not an open position order. I reset windows and still nothing. It won't show anything on the trade line when I clik just the order quantity number on the trade line after an attached trade window put the working order there. Even if I enter an order from the DOM instead of an attached trade window on the chart it STILL WILL NOT let me modify the amount on the trade order line on the chart even after DOM put the order there. Very strange.

It will allow me to move a working order higher or lower by cliking and holding down the order line then sliding it up or down but will not allow me to change the quantity of the order even if I just clik on the number itself on the order line.

It will let me highlight the X on the order line by hovering the mouse pointer over the X and if I clik the X then the order gets cancelled. However it will not let me highlight the quantity segment on the order line if I hoover my mouse over it nothing happens.Nothing changes colors. I have to clik and hold the mouse button and then the quantity segment and ALL the rest of the orderline text changes colors as long as I hold the mouse button down. In other words, I clik it the rest of the text on the orderline gets highlight if I hold the mouse button down but the quantity segment of the order line never highlights by ITSELF hence no quantity dropdown box appears. It is like something got disable on the little quantity segment of the order line. It shows as a separate segment from the X and the rest of the text on the order line but no matter what I do it will not highlight by itself hovering mouse over it or hovering and cliking. Please help. Thanks |

Look at the orderline pic I posted. It shows according to sierras instructions that the segment of the orderline that is the quantity should highlight orange and once cliked then the quantity box would drop down. Neither thing happens.

This is how it looks with a working sell order before cliking the quantity button to change the quantity. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1736433162651.png If I clik on the quantity number ONLY on the order line then the whole entire order line turns orange (highlighted) but NO dropdown menu box appears in order to change the order quantity. I even made the screen smaller (not maximized) to see if the box appears somewhere else on the computer screen and there is no box anywhere on the screen. |

This is what it changes to IF I clik only on the order quantity button on the order line. No drop down menu box appears anywhere on the screen to change the quantity. Thank you so much!! That fixed the problem. However the line was under global >> chart settings not Chart Dom setting. But anyway thanks you! I must have inadvertently changed it to "no" because it used to work ok. |
