Trading evaluator - can't place orders

I've created a trading evaluator account, following the instructions.

Went back a couple of months, hit replay chart. Then I tried placing a limit order; right click->buy limit, but nothing happens. Tried market, nada.

I tried turning on and off margin requirement, increasing "position limit" under "symbol/product limits", but still can't place the order while replaying.
There's no order booked under "trade orders window".

IDK is it a bug or I missed something..? How to fix this?

EDIT:

Seems it was a bug. I created another account, switched between two, and tried to place a limit. It worked.
Any idea how to prevent it from happening again, what might be the cause of it?
Maybe cos I was replaying the charts..?

EDIT:
Checked the log; "2024-09-06 12:42:43.157 | Trade Order Error - Cannot submit non-simulated order when in Trade Simulation Mode. Internal Order ID: 939. Service Order ID: (none). Symbol: FDXMU24. Account: FDXMTest"
I'm pretty sure I've set it to the right account, as there was only one. So why it's mentioning "non-simulated order"?

When running a replay you are in "Simulation Mode". But the account you had selected to trade was the Trading Evaluator account. Therefore, there was a conflict between the account selected (a "live" account, at least from the perspective of your software) and the setting for "Trade >> Simulation Mode On". Refer to the following:

So how do you use the Trading Evaluator mode/account to back test stuff?
I'd like to have those trades logged under the Trade activity log->Statistics.

If I select(in the trade window)the Trading Evaluator account I've created, go back a couple of months, hit replay, I get a message(please see the attachment).

If I hit no, the replay doesn't start, If I hit yes, it starts(switching from the Trading Evaluator to SIM), I can place the orders, they get filled, but they're not logged into the Trade activity log. And apparently, they're not filled under Trading Evaluator, but under SIM.

Switching from the Trading Evaluator to SIM when starting the replay is confusing. Why there's a Trading Evaluator if it doesn't let you backtest?

I suppose I'm missing something, so please bear with me.

The Trading Evaluator is a simulation environment, but it is meant to mimic a real environment. It is not meant for replaying/backtesting. The built-in simulation mode is for replaying/backtesting.

The orders will be in the Trade Activity Log when using Simulation Mode. Just make sure you select the proper settings under the "DisplaySettings" on the Trade Activity Log.

You are actually not using the Trading Evaluator service. You are just using the internal Trade Simulation Mode, if you are doing a chart replay.

If you do not even see any order in the Trade >> Trade Orders Window, see if there is any early rejection occurring and listed in Trade >> Trade Service Log.
