Hi, Is there a way to edit a Custom Symbol after it's created? For example, if I navigate to Global Settings -> Symbol Settings, find a custom symbol I have already created - is it possible to edit the ratio I used for the symbol without having to create a new symbol? Thanks. |

There is not a way to edit the symbol. You need to duplicate the symbol and create a new one with the new name setup the way you want it. Thanks, that is what I've been doing, and it is a slow process when one has multiple custom spreads. Is there any possibility this could be changed in the future?

Thanks, this was very helpful and I was able to edit custom symbols using the XML files. Is there a way that the new, edited symbol can flow into a chartbook without having to create a new chart? For example, I have the chart of a custom symbol in a chartbook. Exit Sierra Chart and follow the instructions to update the XML file. Re-open Sierra Chart chart and the new custom symbol data is loaded into the chart? I tried this and it was the old symbol... |

There is no connection between the edited symbol settings and the symbol of the chart. Therefore, you have to re-select the symbol for the chart after you have changed the symbol settings.
