Hi, I can't make the stock chart of 3M company (ticker MMM) to show properly on Sierra. I am looking at another DOW30 stocks and all of them (as much as I can say) appear correctly in Sierra, except for MMM The historical chart at least January 2024 to July 2024 doesn't seem correctly displayed. I have marked three dates on the chart to clearly demonstrate how differently this stock appears, but other dates prior to 2024 also aren't displaying price correctly. This is a Sierrachart screenshot: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1724537919991.png For reference, I have also attached a screenshot from nasdaq.com of the same stock from here: https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/mmm/advanced-charting I marked the same dates on it, screenshot here: https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=SupportBoard&download=105164 I also checked on NYSE chart and confirmed my Sierra is not correct: https://www.nyse.com/quote/XNYS:MMM Looking at similar advice on other threads in this support board I have tried the following: 1. Looking both into chart of ticker MMM and MMM-NQTV and they both show the same data (incorrect) 2. Performing Edit > Delete all data and download 3. Checking this setting: Data/Trade Service Settings: Process Known Odd Lot Equity Trades for DTC Services (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings) Is set to "No" 4. Chart Time Zone is set to: "New York" 5. Session times are set to: Session Start Time (Read Only): 9:30:00 Session End Time (Read Only): 15:59:59 If it helps, my chartbook with MMM and MMM-NQTV: https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=SupportBoard&download=105165 Can I have an advice how to fix this chart please? I can't find anything else on this support board to try, so I wonder if the data of this stock might be incorrect on the data server..? |

We can not tell exactly from the image you provided, as it is not granular enough. But we looked at the data point of May 20, 2024 and it looks generally correct in your image. We also opened your Chartbook and looked at that specific date for the OHLC information and found it matched exactly to the NYSE data you pointed to in your post. Attached are images of both the Sierra Chart data for that day and the NYSE website showing the specific OHLC information for that day. They match up perfectly. If your data does not match this, then let us know. We would need to see the Tool Values Window for that date so we can see what is different. thank you for your response. I should have formulated my question more accurately - i meant to point your attention to the peaks of price swings in my markings, which don't match between Sierra and NYSE. As requested, please see price comparison below: DATE: 2024 March 15 SIERRA: Open: 103.00 High: 105.54 Low: 102.78 Last: 105.00 NYSE: Open: 86.11 High: 88.23 Low: 85.93 Close: 87.78 Volumes are different as well. As you see the difference is not insignificant, its almost 20% See the screenshot of the entire screen with both Sierra (including chart values) and NYSE info attached. In Sierra - I have also marked a few consecutive days after March 15 which show MMM traded between ~102 and ~109 (marked in yellow rectangle), but you will also see that most of those days traded roughly ~87 - ~90 according to NYSE table. I think this is when the stock split happened, maybe that somehow has an influence on this discrepancy, but im not sure. Please let me know if I can provide further information Thank you |

The data for MMM should now be correct. Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download" from the main Sierra Chart menu. You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. This command is on the main Sierra Chart menu at the top. Only use it from that location.
