Hello! I have a problem with data calculation on my custom symbol and I don't know how to solve it. My custom symbol is MAG7 stocks combined. I created it by following all the instructions: 1) My software version is up to date; 2) I've deleted data and downloaded it before writing this message; 3) I see FSC near the name of my custom symbol which indicates that everything is alright. Most important thigs for me are the volume and volume profile of each bar. I know that volume should be just combined number of all the stocks in my symbol but it is not accurate and if volume is not accurate then volume profiles can't be accurate either. I add screenshots of my custom made symbol with statistics and AMZN stock on the side. For example today at 11:25 (New York time) my custom symbol shows that there were 12300 shares trades and AMZN shows that there were 15422 shares traded only on AMZN which is only the 1 component out of 7 in my custom symbol. In my screenshot you can see only 1 instane where it shows data which is not accurate but there are plenty of such instances. Sorry for bothering you and thank you in advance! |

Add the Volume study to those charts. And see if you see the correct volume for the custom calculated symbol.

No, volume bars show me the same volume as volume calculation in Number Bars table.

Try re-downloading the data from just before that point of the incorrect volume: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Retrying the Download When There is Data in the Chart Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. It doesn't work how it should. Calculations are different every time. If I re-download the data then it recalculates the results so it should be accurate from that point until the end of the chart but it's not. I re-download data and get different results. Then I re-download it from 2 bars forward and I get different results again. Every time I do this I get different results - volume numbers changing, delta numbers changing, bar which previously had negative Delta now somehow has positive Delta and vice versa. Something is wrong with calculation process.

We are be going to be looking into this, but it could be several weeks/months before we can get to it. We will try to get to it sooner though.

We have looked into this, and what you are looking for, for a sum of all volumes is not supported. And we have other priorities at this time and cannot allocate any time at all to changing how this currently works. The soonest would be years from now. We will not be responding further on this. The volume data, that you are looking for is not what you want. Therefore, do not look at or pay any attention to the volume. The only thing that we will look to do is set the volumes to zero.
