Given the potential issues and warnings reported on this page Interactive Brokers Trading Service as well other issues reported by traders in the support board with IBKR, wondering if SierraChart has looked into what DasTrader has done with Interactive brokers integration ? Not trying to say anything negative here about SC, but Dastrader-IB integration has been rock solid for years in my personal experience..and it doesnt rely on IBKR/TWS Instance/configuration. Believe DAS connects to IBKR through an aggregate FIX connection. They support Direct Access trading & Direct routing with programmable hotkeys. The platform connects directly to the DAS Servers colocated in the same datacenter as Nasdaq. Network latency from my machine to DAS's Order/Quote Server is less than 5ms. Why am I bringing up this in SC forum? Becos if SC can provide similar IBKR integration for equity trading, I can simplify my setup greatly and just rely on SC for both trading and charting. My order entry on DAS needs me to interact with DAS Chart to utilize my fixed risk hotkeys and DAS's Level 2, in addition to watching SierraChart/Volume Profile/Delta/Footprint charts. If I can streamline the whole setup with just SC, it'd be a big win(not just for me, but for similar equity traders wanting to leverage SierraChart with IBKR and SC too in capturing this user base)! ...@User763335... ... ...allow me ...the reason SIERRA CHART stands out is because its data/execution feed (DENALI.TETON) is superior to anything out there ...if you try to apply the same coding of futures data to equities data-that would choke hell out of retail trading machines (props as well) ...integration you cited is "rock solid" because their data feeds (aggregated; sampled by time) are inferior to SC ... ...because of SIERRA CHART feeds and out of this world costumer support I went from equities/options to futures ...having superb trading machine/connection/proximity to Aurora data center make my SC experience phenomenal ... ...wish you all the best |

@blt , SC already makes available equities data feed via Nasdaq Total View with Market depth. Its the order routing we're talking about, with IBKR, simplying the current IBKR/TWS setup. I trade both equities(IBKR/DAS/Totalview/SC) & futures(AMP/SC/Teton). Its the same datafeed (ie Nasdaq Total View w/market depth) that DAS provides, not aggregated or inferior like you say. In any case, interested in knowing SC's position/thoughts on my prior query. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-12-06 17:13:49

@blt , is it possible, you're mixing up between Nasdaq totalView(https://www.nasdaq.com/solutions/nasdaq-totalview) and TradingView?

@Sierra_Chart Engineering following up.., any thoughts? https://www.interactivebrokers.com/campus/ibkr-api-page/fix/ how big of an effort do you anticipate integrating with FIX connection for trading with IBKR, skipping the TWS Install/configuration completely like DASTrader ? |
