I begin with a cut and paste quote from SC concerning the •Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed.

"Therefore, in summary, if you do not have an account with a Trading Service that Sierra Chart supports, you cannot access streaming real-time data for the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX exchanges unless you pay the substantially higher exchange fees."

If I: 1.) Have my own, outside of my broker, SC Charting account, 2.)have a live account with a "Supported Trading Service" but, 3.) wish to sign up and begin using "•Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed", can I assume my Exchange Fees are waived as they were using the previous data supplied by the broker arrangement? I construe the quoted sentence above to mean as much.

If I am correct, are there any fees then besides the $35.00/month for the data feed? If so, what would they be?
If I am incorrect, what have I failed to understand, construe or interpret?
Thank you.

1. In this case the CME Group exchange fee is 3.25 USD per month if you do not need market depth data.

The only other cost is the data feed itself for 35 USD a month.

According to my broker, if I chose to use SC for Charting/Complete Data Feed/Trading I would still need to connect to Rithmic for order routing and execution. How does that work and therefore how do I proceed to make the change? Do I go into my personal SC account and add SC as my new data feed and then get some kind of new credentials from broker to enter back into SC ??

If you are paying per transaction fees, you may want to see if they have options other than Rithmic. On mine it's $.05 using cqg with $10 monthly fee vs. $.25 for rithmic.

Quite a deal, vf ! I don't know/think my broker or clearing has a relationship with cqg. That would be great if they did. I'll check it out. Thank you for your input.

Here are the set up instructions for Rithmic:
Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

If you want to use the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed instead of the Rithmic data feed, then follow the instructions on this page:

Perhaps you did not read this request in context of the whole thread. I will attempt to be more careful and articulate in summary:
1.) I already use Rithmic 01 as data feed. In "File:Data/Trade Service Settings" I have Rithmic (Trading).
2.) I wish to change to your/SC as my total data feed for both charting and trading platform.
3.) My broker has told me that I will still need to use Rithmic in one form or another for "order routing and execution".
4.) Reminder: I have my own SC charting account.

Once again, how do I proceed to set up you/SC (with the additional charge for the data from you/SC) as my data feed for charting and still maintain the supposed connection with Rithmic which I will need for trading??

Thank you.

You can do this and the step-by-step instructions for this are here:

Vegas, what broker/fcm are you using for access to CQG with SC for $10/mo? Thanks!

AFAIK, AMP offers CQG FIX for $10 per month, not sure about fill costs though.

Currently using Deep Discount Trading, don't recommend them though, and now apparently $.05 plus $20 month. That price is just for order routing and execution, no platform or data.

vegas, any reason you don't recommend DDT? If you are looking elsewhere, where would you go?

You can strap yourself in and command Number One to use the forward deflector to initiate a tachyon field and engage time warp to 1990, which gets old really fast. That said, the guy in charge is a good guy and he tries to treat his clients right and I have yet to find someone worth the hassle of changing to, for futures anyway. For stocks, TDA is a no brainer. I just wish their futures pricing wasn't so completely horrific.
