Hello I am having some issues trying to find a basic study i can program to just show the previous cash session high and low. Can anyone point me in the right direction to a sierra study that can handle this? Ive tried the High/Low for Time Period but i cannot get the cash session to show properly in the settings Thanks in advance |

There may be others but here's one way to do it: 1. Create the daily chart of the cash session you want to use (don't use overnight session) 2. Add the Daily OHLC Single Point Study 3. Change settings as shown in the attached images (use the chart number for the chart you just created as the daily chart number) 4. On the chart you want to see these levels on, add the Daily OHLC using Study Price/Overlay |

This does work but it includes the current day's low - how would you only look at the prior day low even through the new day?

How are you wanting to view the Previous Day's Cash Session High and Low? Are you wanting the lines to show in just that session? Are you wanting the lines to show in that cash session and then across the rest of the chart? Do you wan the current cash session to show the previous day's High/Low, or should it show its own High/Low? How do you want the previous cash session High/Low to display relative to the current day cash session High/Low? Hi John, I found a solution and to answer your questions I was looking for only the Previous Day's Cash Session High and Low to show for the current trading day. In order to set this up I did the following: 1. Created a Daily Chart with Session Times set to 9:30AM EST - 16:00:00PM EST. 2. Added the Daily OHLC Study to that Daily Chart with the settings shown in the attached screenshot. 3. Added the Study / Price Overlay to a lower time frame chart I use for execution and selected that Daily OHLC for the overlay. |
