Dear IB

I have reread "Using Multiple Sierra Chart Instances with TWS" a few times and checked the thread but not finding a solution (using Denali data feed, and TWS for execution)

Issue: Order placed in the main instance will not show up in the sub-instance (for the same exact symbol and account number)

Documentation states:
"To have multiple copies of Sierra Chart connected to Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation (TWS), each copy of Sierra Chart needs to be set to a different Instance Client ID number, set with the Instance Client ID setting in the Service Settings section of the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings window. You can use any of the listed Instance Client ID numbers except for 0 which should only be used if you want to access all orders submitted from any copy of Sierra Chart or TWS, in the other instances of Sierra Chart"

I can access the Instance Client ID List field in the main sierra installation (set to zero since I want to see the same order on both instances as described above) but not in the second or sub-instance. I have attached the settings screens for both. Am I missing this field in the sub-instance or I am getting the meaning of the above all wrong.

Thank you any help is much appreciated!

You do not need to worry about setting anything up in the Sub-Instance. Sub-Instances (when started with "File >> New Instance") automatically are set to connect to the main instance and route orders and data through there.

The most likely situation for what you are stating is that your Sub-Instance has the option for "Trade Simulation Mode On" enabled. In this case, the sub-instance is in simulation mode and is not connected to the trading service. Make sure this option is not enabled. Also make sure other items like "Trading Locked" is not enabled and that you have the Chart set in "Chart Trade Mode On" in order to be able to view the orders.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
