I would like to close a position of 10 contracts: at 2pm 5 contracts and at 3pm the remaining 5 contracts. How can I do that?

You could do this by using the "Time in Force" option of "Send Order At Time". Then setup these offsetting orders to be sent at those times. For instance, if you have a Long position of 10 contracts, then you would setup two sell orders of a quantity of 5 each, one with a send order at time of 14:00 and one with a send order at time of 15:00. Refer to the following: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main >> TimeInForce (Time in Force): For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks! Can I change the setting from the spreadsheet as well?

The Spreadsheet System for Trading does not have a way to set the "Time in Force" so you can not do this directly. You can, however, set a specific Trade Configuration file, so you could have different configurations setup to do something specific and change them as needed. Refer to the following: Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading: Trade Window Configuration File (write-only) [J112] For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
