Hi,
My question is with regards to trading the Indian Markets i.e. NIFTY 50, BANK NIFTY & other India Equity Futures and Options

Question is on "Data" and "Broker"

On the data I have already tested with Global Data feeds.

If I want to trade via Interactive brokers India THEN how do I connect Sierra Charts to Interactive Brokers (as my broker) whilst being connected to Global Data Feeds (As my Data provider)?

Under Data/Trade Service Settings – Current Selected Service (List) I have selected “Global Data Feeds India – DTC [India]”. The question is How do I subsequently connect to “Interactive Brokers India” at the same time?

Do you suggest having 2 copies of Sierra Charts on the same Machine. Use One copy of Sierra Charts for Data connected to “Global Data Feeds India – DTC [India]” and use the other Copy of Sierra Charts on the same Machine to connect to “Interactive Brokers India” as the Broker?

OR

Do you suggest something else?

In either case I would like to initiate the Order entry in Sierra Charts application only

Thank You

This is not a way to do this. You can only be connected to one service at a time.

The only support for something along these lines is for the data from us (Sierra Chart), which does allow you to connect to a specific trading service while getting the data from us.

The only suggestion we have is that if Interactive Brokers has the ability to trade the Indian market, then you should be able to get the data from them as well.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Thanks for the prompt reply John

Would really appreciate it if you could answer my elementary questions in more detail please

1) The only support for something along these lines is for the data from us (Sierra Chart) ==> When you say "data from us (Sierra Chart)" THEN For Indian Markets the only Option is "Global Data Feeds", correct ?

2) which does allow you to connect to a specific trading service while getting the data from us ==> When you say "which does allow you to connect to a specific trading service". "Trading Service" I am assuming is Order Routing and Broker, correct ?.

3) You can only be connected to one service at a time ==> I Agree, but then what option do I choose in the "Data/Trade Service Settings" drop-down if I want to connect to a Data Vendor "AND" a Broker for Order Routing & Commissions /Brokerage ?

For "Indian Markets" the ONLY specific Trading Service / Broker available that supports Sierra Charts is Interactive Brokers, correct ?
Now in the above scenario I want to do the following in the Indian Markets:

a) Analyze AND Execute via "Sierra Charts" (Awesome Platform)
b) Source Data into Sierra Charts from "Global Data Feeds India" (This is my ONLY choice of data provider for "Indian" Markets, as GFDL is the only Indian Data provider that SC can connect to)
c) Use "Interactive Brokers India" as my Broker to cover Order Routing and Commissions/ Brokerage (This is my ONLY choice of Broker for "Indian" Markets, as IBKR is the only Indian broker that Sierra Charts can connect to)

Kind Regards
Thank You

1. When we say the "Data from Us", we are referring to our Denali Exchange Data Feed data. The Global Data Feeds India is a supported data feed, but it is not one of our own data feeds. This is why you have to select it in the "Data/Trade Service Settings".

2. We are referring to our Denali Exchange Data Feed again. When you are getting the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, you can also connect to your selected trading service (order routing or broker - such as CQG, Rithmic, Interactive Brokers). In this setup, you will get the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed while being able to trade with that service/broker.

3. You can not select both. As we state, the only support for a data vendor, other than the one you are connected to in Data/Trade Service Settings, is our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Your choices are the following:
- Use Global Data Feeds to get the data into Sierra Chart and use Sierra Chart only for charting. Enter your trades through some other process.
- Use Interactive Brokers for both the data and for execution. We do not know if they have this, but we would expect that if they have support for trading the Indian market, then they should also have data for it.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
