I added 2 buttons to control bar 2 with different probertites, each drawing different colored lines, however when I press one of the buttons the other button indicates it is also pressed and nothing appears on the chart. There are 18 other buttons for drawings that all work properly.

Is the button just a configuration selection, or is it a Tool Selection with configuration button?

Tool selection with configuration. I've double checked and they each have a different configuration applied.

Please get us the file named 'Sierra4.config' located in your main Sierra Chart installation folder. This has the global settings for your system including your Control Bar buttons. We'll take a look and see what we can see. Refer to the following for how to attach a file:

What is the control bar number that has these buttons? And what are the names on the buttons?

Control bar 2 and the buttons are named Resistance line and Support line. FYI I'm using the rectangle tool because it has and end and beginning time and it is used on the other tool button configurations.

The reason why both of these are being selected at the same time is because they have the exact same configuration setup. It's not that they have the same number, just that the selection of the Drawing Tool and the Configuration are the same, so when you select one, they are both showing as enabled. Double check your settings for these buttons and make sure they are set the way you want them to be.

Somehow Sierra mixed the 2 up. I have copied all the settings and as you can see they are correct.

No. Those settings were in place when I sent the original post. Like I said, Sierra somehow mixed them up.

Then there is something about that configuration file that is causing an issue with those items.

Try to remove those two from the control bar, and make sure the rest of the buttons are working properly. Then add the buttons back and see if everything is working correctly or if you continue to have the same issue.

I tried that, there was no change. I've quit for the day but perhaps over the weekend I try removing the buttons and then closing and restarting Sierra and see what happens.

It appears I'm limited to 18 customized buttons. I deleted the 2 buttons and updated sierra to the latest version and restarted. I had the same result. I then selected 2 other custom configurations and again was unable to use them. I then deleted one of the buttons, but was still unable to use it. I'll make do with what I have.
