Over many years I have grown to three instances of SC on three PC's. It gets quite involved to move things around and keep track of versioning, etc. of Study Collections, Chartbooks, etc.

Don't get me wrong, you are doing about everything right (as I have suggested Ninja Trader to adopt many of SC features which make it easy to develop systems and do research). However, I am spending increasing amounts of time simply labeling and categorizing hundreds of studies and versions.

It would be very helpful if you would simply expand the base info that appears in the cht. frame header/border to include the Chartbook it was last saved to, and the name used to Label the Study Collection. (This info could be placed inside the cht. frame instead of the frame header and would work just as well, though I would prefer the header, as I can then take a clip of the chart without the header and share with others, without disclosing the file info). Keep in mind that the lower frame header could contain some of this info also, as it is unused space at present, that could also render important version info and not clutter the upper header/border as much.

In my research, versioning is very important for chart files as I print out most of them multiple times. This would save a huge amount of time manually labeling all these frames and printouts with essential version info; thus allowing traders to more easily keep track of charts across multiple PC's and dozens of Chartbooks.

One last thought: for users who do not want this info to appear as suggested above, SC could simply make a toggle in the Study Collection file to hide it from public view. This variable would thus enable a user to turn this labeling on or off.
