[User Discussion] - Sierra and TopStep (Rithmic) Brackets are still local. Is the copier also the same?

Dear Support Board

Is there anyone using Sierra with TopStep that have been able to get bracket orders placed Server-side with Rithmic, or even CQG?

On the Quantower website it clearly states they provide Brackets (SL/TP) Server-side for both Rithmic and CQG ... as do Tradovate.

However, I can see on my Rithmic R|Trade Pro Platform that Sierra Brackets are displayed locally on Sierra with only the Parent order held Server-side on the R|Trader Position monitor.

Back in 2021 Sierra Engineering wrote "Sierra_Chart Engineering - Posts: 12627 What is not supported, is the full management of the parent and child OCO on the server. Once the parent order fills, the child orders will be in an OCO group managed on the server."

Is this still the case? I thought the new DTC connection gave us Server-side brackets so a waiting, server-side order which is filled during a local-system outage is not left unprotected?

Clearly, the Sierra Rithmic DTC is not providing the functionality of Quantower and some other Platforms which is disappointing, as having local Brackets is a worrying position to be in when Teton is not in this case an option.

Would be grateful for and help from Sierra users with this configuration.

Many thanks.

PS I realise that the Broker/Clearer impacts this but if the Entry + OCO is not transmitted to and held by Rithmic/CQG at outset, the outcome is the same. Just trying to keep it simple.

You need to ask Rithmic about this. They built the interface that is in place at this time. If they are not taking the orders, then that is something they need to look into.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
