1.I just activated the Base package. I'm not sure if it's a relatable issue but my renko charts have dissapeared. I've set them up a month ago and used on daily basis. FDXM and MES just start with the empty chart, no numerical values. Screenshot attached. All graphics settings intact. Since there's no values , that's not the case anyway. The connection is there for other charts.

2.Can I make volume use big numbers on the labels over the candles? Screenshot attached

3. Why is the data so scarce for 6E/6B etc. for more than 6 months back ? Is it going to be better with Denali ?

Regarding the Last Candle of the Session/ Day formula - I added the spreadsheet study to the bulk of my studies, the sheet is filled accordingly, the subgraph is there (N) as it is displaying BUT at the bottom of the screen as it was. What am I not understanding? I'd like the line to be on its place and the sheet region at the bottom to disappear.

1. Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Close all of the Chartbooks with "File >> Close All Chartbooks".

Open a single chart for the symbol you have an issue with through "File >> Find Symbol". Tell us that symbol of the chart. Tell us about *one* symbol only.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases)

We will then determine what the problem is.

2. You need to set the "Value Format" for the study that is drawing those numbers to be what you want. There is also the option for "Large Integer with Suffix" in the list of Value formats. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Value Format

3. Refer to the following:
Continuous Futures Contract Charts

4. We think you are wanting to move the Spreadsheet display to the main region. To do this, change the region on the Settings page for the Spreadsheet Study. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Chart Region

1. I might have found the reason. The Base Package won't let me see Number Bars, will it ? Pity I didn't know this when ordering...

2& 3. Thank you.

4. Ok, thank you, It's on the Main Graph at the right level. But it shows only the last day closing and doing it all over the window and on the days back. I'm really struggling here, I'm not a programmer. How should I change the formula to make it show repeatedly the last candle of the previous day, day after day, starting from the level and extending further on, say, until end of period / window/ intersection etc. ?
The formula you gave me was:
- Cell K3: =IF(INT(A3) = TODAY() - 1, A3, 0)
- Cell L3: =IF(K3 <>0, ROW(), 0)
- Cell M3: =MOSTRECENTNONZEROVALUE(L$3:L$3000)
- Cell N3: =INDIRECT(CONCATENATE("E", M3))
- Cell O3: =IF(INT(A3)=TODAY(), N3, 0)

I have problems with Time and Sales. It got stuck out of blue. I was using replay on FDAXM it worked fine for half and hour and then it just hang some time earlier back. Resetting the windows won't help. Opening and closing the tape back and forth neither does it. Clearing won't help either.

1. It's not the "Base" packages, but the "Standard" ones, which you are on. These do not have support for the Numbers Bars or Numbers Bars Calculated Values studies. You can change to the "Base Advanced" package at any time (or any other package). Select the link below to go to the section where you can change your package, select the package you want in the menu to the left and then select the "Update/Set" button. When you change your package, we do not charge or give a refund - rather we adjust your remaining Usage Time based on the difference in the package pricing, so if you change to a more expensive package, your remaining Usage Time will go down and vice versa.
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation#ServicePackage

4. You only want to display Column O. Make sure the other columns are not set to display. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Ignore (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_IGNORE)

5. This does not make any sense, as you are continuing to get the data, so the Time and Sales information is there. Please select "Clear" to clear the Time and Sales and see if you then get the new information.

Thank you.

1. EUREX trading data from today means it's going to end on 31 of March, is that so ? So it's sensible to wait until the end of the month for a full month? Do they offer any free trials? Is the total sum to be paid $36 for SC and $25 for EUREX / monthly ?

2. Can I have different .scid files for the same symbol? The case is I downloaded some large amounts of data for replays and the intraday chart runs very slowly and lags even if I set relatively small number of days. Alternatively, can I redownload it with lesser amount of data or do i need to delete the file manually ?

This is correct - the exchanges are not pro-rated and they renew on a calendar month basis. So if you activate an exchange in the middle of the month (such as today - March 18, 2024) you will pay the full amount for the exchange fee for the remainder of the month, and then you will pay again on the first day of the following month. If you can wait until the first day of the following month, then that can save you some funds.

EUREX does not have a free trial.

Your "monthly" fees would be the package cost ($36.00 if you use the "Integrated Standard" package) and the exchange fees ($25.00 for EUREX EOBI). Just keep in mind the packages renew on a rolling 31 day cycle as opposed to the exchanges that renew on a calendar month cycle.

2. Can I have different .scid files for the same symbol? There is only 1 data file (.scid file) for each symbol. Whatever amount of data you need is what is downloaded and stored. Keep in mind that since futures have limited contracts, your data files are only holding the data for each contract.

The only option for managing the size of the files is changing the storage interval. Depending on what/how you are charting, you would need to set the following option as appropriate:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Intraday Data Storage Time Unit (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Settings)

Should I redownload with adjusted settings or is it going to work right after I have changed the settings?

(I already have it set up for 2 sec for most symbols, still not enough for smoothness. Two chartbooks with 4 symbols make it unbearable.)

If you change the "Intraday Storage Time Unit", you need to select "File >> Reconnect" in order to make sure that the new data coming in will be stored in that increment.

If you want the old data to also be in the same increment, then you will need to delete the old data and redownload it by selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". Note that you only need to do this once for each symbol and not for each chart.

2. There is a solution to this. Refer to:
Changing Chart Bars Period: Improving Performance of Loading Chart Data

You can do this by running a new instance of Sierra Chart and using a different Intraday Data Storage Time Unit with that instance:
Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance

This is actually not necessary:
If you change the "Intraday Storage Time Unit", you need to select "File >> Reconnect" in order to make sure that the new data coming in will be stored in that increment.

1.I just activated EUREX and Denali with the Service Package 10. I still don't have number bars. Is this right?

2. Is there an option to color code ohlc candles in order to show appropriate volume ratio happening within the candle in relation to another?

3. Can I have the hand tool activated automatically after I've finished with any other ?

1. This is correct. Numbers Bars requires one of the "Avanced" packages. Refer to the following:
Description of Service Packages and Pricing: Integrated Packages

2. There is not an option for color coding based on volume. There is the option for "Price Volume Bars" which sets the width of the bar based on the volume. Refer to the following:
Graph Draw Types: Candle Price Volume Bars

You could setup coloring based on volume using multiple copies of the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study. Refer to the following:
Color Bar Based on Alert Condition

3. Refer to the following:

There's so much market depth on DOM that I cannot see the cumulative pulled/stacked orders which I believe it's a number to be found at the top / bottom of the list. I've even set up a vertical 22" monitor for that, it only get's bigger. The decrease in market depth levels doesn't work for that.
I wish there was a way shrink it, isn't there one?

Could i perhaps make it smaller and hop it to the chart itself ?

One option for this would be to have a separate chart and set the scale to be very wide so you can see the top/bottom of the Pulling/Stacking and view the Pulling/Stacking Sums.

Another option would be to create a custom study to get to that information. Refer to the following:
sc.GetBidMarketDepthStackPullSum()

And finally, another option is to change to Package 11 and use the "Numbers Bars Calculated Values 2" study, as this has subgraphs specifically for the Bid/Ask Sum of Pulling Stacking. Refer to the following:
Numbers Bars: Numbers Bars Calculated Values 2 Subgraph Descriptions

What do we mean by setting the scale ? I use Chart Settings for DOM , [scale] > [scale] , constant range, scale : 100 and still - I can barely see anything and market depth is still more than 40 orders (how many more?) so no sums anyway.
Any other parameters I can fiddle with ?
Can't I just scroll the DOM like Jigsaw's ?

Also , please remind how do I get around custom study from scratch, thank you.

Since the sum of the Pulling/Stacking is at the top/bottom of the lists, we are suggesting setting the scale such that you can view these values. This is why we suggest a different chart, one that you can just have the scale set in a way that you can view the values.

Any other parameters I can fiddle with ?

No.

We can not answer this as we do not know how Jigsaw works.

Also , please remind how do I get around custom study from scratch, thank you.

1. Again, I still don't get what you mean by a ,,different chart''. My DOM chart is attached below.

2. I meant just scrolling the DOM up and down. This seems to scroll itself with the orders, I understand I can only reset it for the price to be in the middle. Why can't I just go up and down at will?

2.Here's an example of the pull/stack being visible on the Sierra's chart.

1. The premise of this thread is that you can not view the Pulling/Stacking Sums because they are at the very top and bottom of the range of data for the Pulling/Stacking columns.

We are suggesting to open a new chart (or Trading DOM) and have the Pulling/Stacking setup there as on your main Trading DOM and then set the scale so you can see the Pulling/Stacking sums. This way you can have a view of that information without having to scroll up/down on your main Trading DOM.

2. You can move the DOM scale up/down as you like. You are not restricted in this at all. There is not an option to use the Scroll Wheel for this, but you can grab the prices and when you have the scale set to "Interactive Scale Move" it will move up/down with the pointer. Refer to the following:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Interactive Scale Move - Move Scale Up and Down

I've been using Sierra for the last few months, feel pretty comfortable with its functionalities and still do not understand what should I do.
I can open DOM via 1.Find Symbol 2. Open DOM for chart 3.Open Trading DOM.
Whichever I use I land with a separate or attached window of a special kind, different from a chart obviously. I do not see where would I scale it like I do so with regular charts.

2. Thank you , the problem was that I mostly use touchpad which does not support scrolling, neither the dom supports page up /page down in this repect. Now that I use mouse I can scroll it to see the pull/stack but the issue remains. The sums are ca. 50 price levels away on FDAX.

Can you refer to the image of the dom on the chart as per the attachment?

3. The recent ask/ bid volume on the DOM : it seems these do not cummulate when compared to the tape. Is there a way to let them ,,overwrite'' and sum up ? These seem to show up and vanish inconsistently.
Is there a time limit before they disappear or they're there until the price sweeps them away with the new data?
I can see that sometimes they stay sometimes not, esp. when price moves around a certain level tightly. Some do not show up at all.

4. Can I clear the DOM from the data other than closing it without saving?
5. Is there an option to save a DOM's presets and load them to another DOM ? Or do I have to manually configure every other DOM I open ?

1. We are suggesting that you open another Chart/Trading DOM for the symbol you want and squish the scale down so that you can view the Pulling/Stacking sums at the top/bottom. The scaling on the Trading DOM works the same as any other chart. You would want to use "Interactive Mode Scale" and drag your mouse in the appropriate direction to expand the scale (expand meaning to see more values, or squishing the values together).

Again, this is just so you can view the Pulling/Stacking sums you want to see.

The other option is to change to Package 11 and use the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study to view the sums.

3. The Recent Bid/Ask Volumes reset when price moves off and then comes back again. You can set a "timeout" for this, such that if price moves away then comes back within a certain time period, the data is not reset.

But, for what you are wanting, you should use the "Current Traded Bid/Ask" columns, which give you the running total at a level without resetting. Refer to the following:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Current Traded Bid Volume - Left/Center/Right Aligned

4. You can clear the Recent and Current Bid/Ask data. There are options for this under the "Trade" menu (i.e. "Trade >> Clear Recent Bid/Ask Volume"). On a Detached Trading DOM, you can right click and select the option to clear the columns.

5. You would want to setup a DOM the way you want and then duplicate it and change the symbol to have a DOM setup the way you want. Refer to the following:
Using Chart Templates: Duplicating Charts / Template Charts
