I received an email saying my data feed was connected due to insufficient funds. I immediately put $35 in my additional features balance, and activated the data feed. Now it says I need to add an exchange. When I try to add an exchange, it says I do not have enough balance. Do I need to pay for the exhange too? Up until now, I paid $35 a month total, for CBOT w market depth.

Thank you.

Since your Account was not automatically renewed at the start of the month, due to exchange rules your exchange fee waiver for the CME was lost.

Refer to the "Understanding Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed Costs and Automatic Renewal" section on this page:

It is still 7/31/14. Why would it be cancelled at 7pm? I have paid, and see no reason I should lose my waiver.

The billing and cancellation of accounts for the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data feed is done after midnight UTC.

Yes, we know you from your perspective you see no reason why you should lose the waiver and we understand that, but just due to how everything is designed, this is the result that has happened.

Nevertheless, we will see if we can continue to get the waiver for you. But this is not up to us. It is a manual process that does take effort.

We received no response from management about getting the exchange fee waiver restored. Generally this is a polite way of them saying no. And the reason is because of exchange compliance. So the waiver is gone.

Hi all,

I am probably in the same situation. I have deactivated SC Market data feed in June and reactivated it on Aug 4th. I do not see SC data now. What is the solution? Activate the exchange for $3.25? What will happen for the next month? Will I be billed $35 for SC data feed and $3.25 for the exchange? I have an account at IB.

Thank you
mirek

If you require real-time data for the CME markets, then you need to activate the CME exchange. Do that on this page:
https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=SC_RealTime_DataFeed_SetExchanges

For each month the exchange is activated, you will be billed the exchange fee in full. Refer to:

The CME recently began to charge exchange fees. As long as you maintained an active subscription for the Sierra Chart real-time data feed, you were given a waiver but that is lost when there was an interruption of the subscription. Even if it is for a few minutes.

Can I be refunded the $35 please? I am not using the data feed, and have not used it since my waiver was lost.

Why is it you take 12 days to request this?

We cannot guarantee that this can be refunded. We will check.
