Hello,

one question regarding data feed.
I have a live account at IB and Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed.
Do I need with this configuration to also have subscribed market data at IB or is enough to have live account without this subscription?

thanks

You do not need to subscribe to the data feed from IB if you are using the Sierra Chart data feed instead.

thanks for answer. Currently I tried setup where I do not have market data at IB, only trading permission. But I recognise one problem - when I entered order through SC and later cancel it, then I still see this order as Pending Cancel. Only help is restart and reconnect SC. Can you help me?
thanks

This is going to be an Interactive Brokers problem. There can be problems like this when using Interactive Brokers and you need to rely upon Interactive Brokers to solve them for you. Interactive Brokers may not be the best choice to trade with. You can contact IB about this at API@Interactivebrokers.com.

When you modify an order does it stay in a Pending Modify Status? You can see the Status in Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders.

ok, but I have not had this problem till today. Only change is that I canceled market data at IB since today. What should I ask IB?

Contact API@Interactivebrokers.com about this. Ask them why it is that when orders are sent through their API, there is no response acknowledging them.

thanks for advice. I still have open discussion with IB. They currently need more time for investigation. Hopefully they are able to solve it.

Help I got so far from IB is following:
In the TWS, please navigate to Edit > Global Configuration > API > Precautions.
It is essential that you enable "Bypass Order Precautions for API Orders" selection.

I did that and orders are working. Only point I recognise is: Trade strategy setup for Stop is with
- type: Offset in Ticks Triggered, e.g.
- BE Level Offset 2,
- Trigger Offset 11.
When I enter the order and before fill a market goes further then 11 ticks, SL trigger is activated and move to BE+2.

Is this correct or not? Can I change it somehow? If I remember correctly, I did not have such situation before this problem.

The problem with the Stop order is with IB bracket orders.

Uncheck Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Use Server-Side OCO and Bracket Orders.
