Is it possible to use HTTP instead of HTTPS for all the downloads? Or to have Sierra Chart download updated versions via the SierraChart_64.exe runtime after it opens the main program with all the menus?

I'm seeing "Timed out waiting for shutdown" and MD5 errors while trying to update SierraChart_64.exe.

"installing" over via portable zip file works, but was hoping to use the "update" feature.

I will click the "Send Log to Support" button to send the complete log.

2586. Using "current version" gave the same errors as manually entering version "2586".

We see no problems installing the current version 2586. Went very fast. No errors at all.

We need to see your installer log:

Actually I don't see the MD5 errors within that file which is odd. I attempted two updates this morning, first with the normal method, then with manually running the SierraChartFileDownloader.exe program.

I found the correct log - there was another "Log" folder. Please find attached "Installer Log 2024-01-15 141057.log".

We have looked into this closely and we can identify why there is a problem.

Use the zip installer for now:

The update feature is still broken. Is there an ETA or a specific version I can update too? When performing a manual "install" via zip file, is there any risk of Sierra files being inadvertently overwritten that would need manually restored from backup afterwards? Is this happening to anyone else? I'm using WINE and this has worked for years.

You are the only user who is reporting a problem. We do not know what the issue is in your case. But you have said you are using Wine so that must be it.

Just use the ZIP installer.
