Shade/hide yesterday candles and lock left fill space for volume profile on left side

Hi support , I need to hide yesterday candles on a chart probably by using some study that i can fill from high to low area and hide the candles of yesterday. Also I want to set a volume profile on left side of chart but without having candles on background like i do with right fill space. Thank you |

Is there some reason you do not just load the 1 day of data? You can control this through the Chart Settings. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Days to Load for Intraday Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method: Days to Load menu) The easiest way to do this is to have the bars displayed as you want them, with yesterdays bars off the chart, then use the "Lock Fill Space" option to keep the older bars from being displayed. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Lock Fill Space (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu) Another option, along the lines of what you are stating, would be to use the "Color Background Based on Alert Condition" study. The Alert would need to be set to check the date and/or time of the bar and be true when the time is less than the current day (at whatever date/time that is. Refer to the following for this: Color Background Based on Alert Condition -- Also I want to set a volume profile on left side of chart but without having candles on background like i do with right fill space.

A big IF and prob a really bad idea, but will post anyway. If you wanted chart with just 1 day of candles, you could... put VbP on Left chart, make candles same color as chart background and ensure the VbP is not drawn under main chart. put similar chart on the Right link the 2 Vertical Scales. get something like the attached image. Again, prob a bad idea/approach, not very friendly for other tasks...but besides John's excellent ideas...something that could work for a very specific scenrio. |
