Hello vegasfoster,

No i don't know where i can find the variable %Dayli change.
I know it is on the top of each chart, but it is too small and i try to put it on the study "text display for study" so i could then change her position and caracter.

I am not sure which figure you are looking at, is the change from the open or the prior close?

Outputting to text is easy part, but I need to match to what you are looking at, can you post a pic showing me where you are getting the number from? I will try to take a look next couple days and see if I can do something.

Hello Vegasfoster,

In fact i haven't got the %Dayli change.
In the top of each chart it is DChg in points.I 'd like Dayli change since yesterday close in %.

Ok, so reason I am asking these questions is because that number is being pulled from historical daily data and not intraday data. I have to look to see if I can access that number using ASCIL, it may not be available, I don't know off hand. If I pull from the current chart, even using a minute based chart, the values will be different because the intraday data doesn't have the same date/time stamps as the historical daily data.

To match that number exactly, the only solution may be to load a historical chart with the Text Display To Study Chart study set to display the previous close and then overlay that study on the chart you are looking at. If you don't care about matching to that number exactly, and/or would prefer to use the intraday data, then I can create a study that pulls from the current chart at the time you specify. Let me know your preference and we can go from there.

Very kool Vegas to look at my little problem.

I'm surprise that Sierra doesn't display % Day change natively.
I use a dayli chart with open and close from USA session, so i know How many points changed since previous close. With these Datas could you create a study to display % change: D change/previous close *100.

bye

I try to use the study percent change since open which give in a intra chart the good % change, but when i uses the study text display for study from chart to display the result from the study "percent change since open" in others charts, i get " 0"...

I couldn't really come up with an elegant solution for this either. I just created a simple study that takes the change from either the open or the prior close. So you would add this to your daily chart, then overlay onto your intraday chart, then add the Text Display Study. A little convoluted, but works. I also added a multiplier just in case any instrument had really small percentage changes. Put the PercentageChange.dll file in your SierraChart/Data folder and then F5>>Add Custom Study. Let me know.

Sorry for the delay vegas, i was away from my station.
Your study works fine as you can see on my dayli historical chart but when i put it onto text display study, i have -0 as value. In fact it is the same problem i told you on my previous post. Maybe i don't use well the study "text display study from chart"

Do you display right the % number when you use "text display study" ?
