Hi SC,
Any reason why some options contracts are not listed when I select "get options" , this I observed so far only with 10year t notes, for example the list from sierra front end doesnt list OZNF24 1082 or 1087 contracts, lists only 1080, 1085 strikes.

Thanks and regards

For performance reasons the options list is filtered. Only options with Open Interest are shown.

There might also be a minimum open interest level but we would have to check on that.

Hi SC,
I am using sc.datafile to quickly scan through a list of options contracts(intraday files .scid files) , so during this process a couple of options contracts when loaded cause a blank screen and causing the code to freeze , when i try to load the same contracts manually also the same thing happens, the message log says "currently no data to display in the file. Will start historical data download and real-time updates."
Here are the contracts i tried loading :1. OZSF24 C1270.FUT_OPT.CBOT
2.
Writing to ask you guys if there is a way to catch this exception programatically?? So that i can skip those respective contracts when i load the next set of contracts.

Thanks a lot

Hi SC,
with regards to the listed options contracts, again i see that some of the contracts are missing from your list, i did cross check with the exchange list and contracts with substantial open interest are missing from the list populated here on sierra. This happens especially when there is a change in the active contract. Options for march expired and now when i try to access the april expiry list i find some contracts missing. Could you please help in resolving this and what steps do i need to take so that this doesnt happen in the future.

Thanks

Tell us one of the options symbols that is not listed and we will do our best to see what the cause is from. We may need to reset the connection to the CME feed every evening.

Thanks

We may need to reset the connection to the CME feed every evening.
If that's a feasible solution, could you please implement it?

Hi SC writing about 2 issues:

1.
Yes, we will do this.
just wanted to know the status of this,
2. i have multiple instances of sierra running(4-5 instances) and recently observed that , sierra displays the message "waiting to download historical data" frequently. Sometimes it gets stuck in that state. I remember seeing a thread on this issue, cant find it now. Any suggestions on how to resolve this please

1. This has been done as of approximately March 10.

2. This is simply the result of a lost connection to the data server. Check the Window >> Message Log for what is happening with connectivity.
