Hi,
On a Sierrachart thread it is suggested to use VOLQ-NQGI to display the vix cash equivalent.
When I load it intraday, it only display data for September 23 2023.

Is there something I should pay to have proper data for this ?

This symbol comes from NASDAQ and NASDAQ discontinued that symbol.

Okay. Is there an alternative ?
Not from the CFE futures but from your index or stocks feeds?

The only alternative, is the CFE futures.

There is also a volatility index FXCM CFD that we have. Check the symbol in File >> Find Symbol.

Maybe you want to try VOLI-NQGI and VOLNDX-NQGI

VOLI-NQGI, VOLNDX-NQGI, FXCM CFD, CFE future.... In intraday they are all significantly different than the real VIX so not really a solution unfortunately.

Is it possible to get the actual VIX index in SC somehow?

I really hope you're able to find a solution.

I would definitely be willing to pay for data if I was able to get VIX, VXN, VVIX, RVX, OVX, GVZ, and the other CBOE volatility symbols.

These CBOE volatility symbols are an important part of my trading strategy, and without the data I am force to input the data daily. This effectively prevents backtesting of the strategy without a lot of manual data collection.
