When I go back 2 months, I noticed that not all candles are displayed, from one candle to another a couple of minutes are missing. The more I go back, the bigger the gaps. Is this exptected behaviour or do I have to change something in my settings?

Under Chart Settings (right click on the selected chart) - you'll see a tab called Symbol. 4 rows down you'll see an option called Continuous Contract. Select either: Continuous contract - date rollover, or Continuous Contract - Volume Rollover. In Futures, there are many different contracts with different expiration Dates. In the main Indexes, there are 4 contracts per year. Continuous contract allows you to combine all these contracts, using either their rollover date, or their volume changeover. The Front month contract (current or about to expire), has most of the volume. btw, this is a involved game.
