Hello,

I tried to find info about that on Support Board and SierraChart webside, but no success so far.

Currently, when I choose Crosshair from Tools menu it appears along with an arrow. I would like to have the Crosshair allong with the small cross in the center, not the arrow.

Thank you.

You can right click with the Pointer over a chart window to display a menu of commonly used commands. See attached for Crosshair selection.

Hope this helps,

I did it, but I have an arrow next to the horizontal and vertical lines. Instead, I used to have the small cross (haircross);

That is an operating system setting. Refer to the following:

I would not like to change the pointer of the whole operating system from an arrow to a crosshair, but to the SC only.

By the way, I've just opened an older instance of SC (ver. 2247), which I didn't used for a long time and the pointer is still a crosshair in there. On my main SC instance (ver. 2502), however, the pointer remains an arrow.

I did run a Windows update the other day, so might have this caused pointer appearance change in SC ver2502, but not in SC ver2247?

Could it be some other SC settings that I missed?

Sierra Chart does not have a specific setting for this. The software just picks up the setting for a particular pointer type from the operating system.

I'm currently experiencing this issue myself. In the main instance I have the small crosshair when I choose the "chart values/crosshair" tool.

However in instance #2 I see only the arrow with the larger crosshairs, so it doesn't appear to be a windows system setting issue.

For me, this is only an issue when I think I'm in pointer mode when I'm not because when I'm in crosshair mode, I have it set to use global symbol cursor so all charts respond to the mouse click.

So this is not a "major" issue, but it would be good to understand why it's inconsistent across instances on the same CPU/System.

We are not understanding this statement. What tool is selected when you are seeing this occur?

issue/glitch resolved.

When i went back to verify my settings to answer your question, the problem had resolved.

I am now seeing the "+" symbol pointer style when tools > chart values/crosshair is chosen in BOTH the primary AND sub instances of sierra chart)

prior to this I was seeing the standard "arrow" pointer image when tools > chart values/crosshair was selected, but ONLY in the SUB-instance of sierra chart.

The primary instance has always shown the "+" symbol as expected when tools > chart value/crosshair was selected.

My apologies for the wasted time given that this probably would have been immediately fixed via platform or system restart.
