Hi! First off, been using sierra for about two months now, and i must say I am really pleased in general, it required a couple of hundred browser tabs to get started but after that I was able to configure a setup that was beyond what I expected. Compared to other charts I've used in the past where I really was restricted regarding what "they" thought my ideals should be. Anyway, my problem is with contracts being closed by the broker by margin requirements not being fulfilled and that after the fact the client still thinks I am having open positions, this is the second time this happens, and the first time I went through the instructions in your docs, setting the orders fill date, editing the trade activity log, this did not solve it, then i decided to delete all of the TradeActivityLogs and go for a fresh start. Now an MNQ contract with an initial position of two was closed some weeks ago, and of course i started getting wrong statistics regarding my NPL daily after that, at first I ignored it since the documented solution did not work the last time, but after a while it started to annoy me since i realized I can't even share a screenshot of a chart without it showing me being at serious loss or profit and then having to explain why that is not correct and so on, and also I'd actually want to use the trade activity log and be able to trust the numbers I see in there. Since I screen record all my trading days I know the exact second it was closed, and it was easily found in the Trade Activity tab. I've gone through the same thing like last time which is Trade Activity Log: Solving Inaccurate Trade Statistics for Charts Field Values Once you fix one chart, It's the next, then the next and the next until done. But WHAT do i edit in the activity log to get this proper without deleting the logs? The broker is IBKR, I know what is said on the page regarding them, but it's the only real alternative in Europe that I have found with CME futures and trading stocks in one account, that has proper tax reports when it comes to filing. The trade regards two contracts, one of which is closed at 22:01:40, the contract is then properly recognized as closed on their end and in Sierra, so I just can't figure out even though Sierra recognizes that the contract is closed, still keeps it in record as open somehow. And I really don't care as long as I can get the proper info on how to correct the error by editing the log. I highly presume that it is related to "TransDateTime" response which does not point to any date and time at all. Attaching screenshot of the relevant lines of the activity log. Best regards. |

Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log: Manually Inserting Missing Order Fills Also, another option is to force a particular date and time for when your Profit/Loss calculations start. Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log: Understanding and Setting the Start Date-Time for a Trades List For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
