John,
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong with these bracket orders. As you see in this example I 'thought' I had put in a stop of 6 ticks. Then buy using the option of 'move to breakeven' and selecting 3 as the offset, that when price moved 3 ticks into profit the the stop would move from 6 ticks to BE. So why then is stop now BELOW breakeven? It has moved past BE and not stopped at BE. What am I doing wrong, please

Is it possible to say have an order with a 10pt stop 10 take profit(that's an easy bracket I can do), AND add the option that if the price moves 5 ticks into profit the stop comes to BE and stays there? I can't seem to make that work no matter how many different ways I try on sim...

You are using the option "Trail to Breakeven". Just use the option "Offset in Ticks Triggered". Refer to the information here:

Hi,
Ok I get that I had the 'be level offset' set so then it jumped up and filled me. So I now know how to make an order go to BE once it gets say 8ticks in profit and trail

Now is this possible, as I can't seem to make it work
1-20pt stop and take profit(can do this)
2-move stop to BE once trade is in 8 ticks profit(you just showed me how to do that)
3-is a second step possible to make that stop which is now at BE whilst the current price is +8(the be trigger) to make that stop trail? ie it would move away from BE as the price moves from the +8 trigger. Say the price moves to +20. At that pt the stop would be +12 in my hope for bracket.

or is that too much to ask for? I have tried making the parent stop a trail, but it appears that once it gets to BE from step 2 it won't move up if price moves up

John,
Look at this. Both nq and es have same setup but es is not moving the stop to BE despite the trigger being above the trigger offset of 3.

Hi,
I tried it again, just to make sure and you see NQ works perfectly, but ES refused to move to BE. You can see clearly that ES is way above the BE trigger yet all it is doing is trailing the stop.

Also I answered my question above about if you can have a trail once it moves to be. Look at NQ. After hitting BE it is now maintaining a stop of 28pt which was the original stop

Please help me get ES to work like nq

The main thing we see is that there are too many things going on. We see a main order set to "Trailing Stop" and then an Attached Order set to use the "Trail to BreakEven" option.

From what you have stated above, if you want to have all 3 things occur:
1. 20pt Stop and Take Profit
2. Move to BreakEven at +8 ticks
3. Trail the Stop after +8 ticks

Then the best way is to set the following:
- Parent Order: Market, or other type based on your needs, but not a Trailing Stop, as that will never fill.
- Attached Orders - Take Profit - set to +20 points
- Attached Orders - Stop - Use a Triggered Trailing Stop. Set the Stop Offset to be 20 ticks, The Trail Offset to be 8 ticks, and the Trigger Offset to be 8 ticks.
