I run barchart intraday data which goes back 2years. Trying to repopulate my intraday charts but only get data from the point in time where I begin to run the reload and recalculate. One thing, I am running version 828. I know its a dinosaur but all my inidcators and chart trading still work with it. If I upgrade, I might lose them. What is the minimum upgrade I need to goto or can I still remain at 825. TIA

How would we know the answer to this? We see no reason why your studies will not work. They may need to be recompiled and they might require some small changes. But basically the question is really virtually impossible for us to answer. Think about this. We would have to be aware of every line of code in your study and be aware of every single change from the version you are running up until the present. In general, the changes which would require code changes, are very minimal. You may need to recompile though. So anyway the point is, we cannot answer the question.

Common sense says that if there is a problem with an external service and you are running a significantly older version, you should update because certainly interfaces to external services change and the current version supports proper connectivity to services and improvements with integration.

It is your choice with what you want to do. You should be able to answer your own questions by applying common sense and doing testing.

Usually the best approach for something like this is to install another copy of Sierra Chart and test the connectivity to the service you are using and also test your studies. But you definitely should recompile your studies before testing.
