They just become disabled and not removed when you disable those options.

hmmmm fair enough but i dont think thats good coding its misleading to have an icon there if its disabled very confusing for the user |

you should at least grey out those icons if they are disabled theres no way to tell whether they are enabled or disabled |

They do change color but may be in a way which is not so noticeable. This is controlled by the Windows operating system.
