I have an account for trading, and another account for TopStep Prop trading to get funded. When auto-trading executes a trade it immediately goes to the practice account at the Prop trading firm and not the trading challenge account. I have to cancel the auto trade and put the trade in manually to the proper account. How do I set the account I want my software to trade for the day so I can let the auto-trading feature generate valid trades?

The auto trading go to Practice, the manual trades go to March27

In general, the selection of the account for a chart is set on the Trading Window. Refer to the following:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM)

But, it is possible to set the account in a custom study/trading algorithm via the following:
ACSIL Interface Members - Variables and Arrays: sc.SelectedTradeAccount

So you would need to check to see where this is being set.

The dome is set to the account, and if I place a trade on the dome the trade is correct. If it's an auto trade the trade goes to a practice account.

Also make sure the connection settings in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings, are correct for the account that you want to trade.

Is the account being specified with the automated trade?:
If it's an auto trade the trade goes to a practice account.

The account showed TopStep but it's not being allocated properly between the practice account and the real account.

In the pull-down menu on the dome I can select the proper account. But even if that account is selected during an auto trade, the practice account is the one traded.

I contacted TopStep and they offered no assistance with the auto-trading feature of Sierra Charts.

I changed the setting to TopStep-Aggregated from non-aggregated and the next trade seems to work in auto trade status.

Thank you, I think the issue is resolved.

Ok, from our perspective we do not know the relevancy of this.

You were right, this time it did not work. An auto trade went to the practice account.

I don't know what to do at this point.

Does the automated trading study set the trade account? How is the trade account being set? We do not know.

Check the Trade >> Trade Activity Log for the order and see what the trade account is set to.

Who created this automated trading system. How is it implemented? As a spreadsheet or ACSIL?

It's not an issue with the trading system, as the system does not select accounts. However, I called TopStep and asked them to remove the practice account to see if that resolves these issues. There will only be one account to choose.

I switched the trading danali to CME without a trading account, as I'm using Topstep, but there is still a 'm' for the 5 minute data. So I am still getting delayed data? I updated the agreement and paid the $69 for the data,

If you are referring to the [M] in the Chart Header after the symbol, then this indicates that you are getting the data from our Data Feed. It does not have anything to do with whether the data is delayed or not. And you should not have any delayed data for the symbols that make up the CME E-Mini exchange option.

Refer to the following regarding the [M]:
