What File Type Are The Trade Activity Logs Supposed To Be?

When I choose File > Save Log As and then save, the file that's generated has no extension and is not recognized by any programs.

I can open them in the text editor or Excel but not without going through the "select program" process in Windows.

Is there a way to define the default file format (ie: .xls)?

When you save the Trade Activity Log the file type is TXT and you should see TXT at the end unless your operating system is configured to hide file extensions of known types.

"hide file extensions of known types" is standard on Windows. I don't have problems with any other file types with it set this way. Is there a reason that these text files are in a format that is not a known file type?

Would be great to have an Export feature that allows you to select the filetype (most trading platforms/chart packages allow you to export to Excel or PDF).

We see when the file is saved it is not getting a file extension. We will fix this. We did not know this was happening.

It should be a TXT extension. Which can be easily opened up in Excel.

Looks like this is an operating system problem. We see this on Windows 8 but not Windows 7. Anyway we will fix this.
