FXCM Buy and Sell Stop-Limit Orders

When trying to place a buy or sell stop-limit order in Sierra Chart with FXCM, I receive the following message and am unable to place this type of order: Trade Order Error - Order error: FXCM FIX: Order type Stop Limit is not supported. Internal Order ID: 18860. Service Order ID: (none). Symbol: USDJPY | 2014-06-11 20:32:24 Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Thanks. |

No. Stop-Limit orders are not supported over FXCM FIX.

Yes, this is still limitation of FXCM FIX.

Hello, If this function is not supported by FXCM, is there a possibility to ask them if they can fix this? If this is not possible, could it be implemented in the software? The limit or stop order will be hold in SC and released to the server of FXCM when price is being touched in SC. I think other traders from brokers who have a plugin to trade with sc and don't support this ordertype would benefit from it. Thank you. |

Hello, Let me clearify the problem. setup= FXCM live account with SC as charting and trading FXCM does not support stops and drag and drop limit to market orders in SC (I don't know which order types alse it not supports, but these are the ones i use) Error log: Trade Activity Log file date-time limits: Sim record date-time limit is 2015-02-17 00:00:00. Non-sim record date-time limit is 2015-02-12 00:00:00. Non-sim fill record date-time limit is 2015-02-02 00:00:00. | 2015-02-17 10:45:39 FXCM FIX Trading session: Time in Force type not supported. Changed to Good Till Cancelled. Internal Order ID: 2779 | 2015-02-17 10:49:46 Trade Order Error - FXCM order update (Rejected). Can you guys ask them maybe to add this function to FXCM? Your lines are shorter to the development team of FXCM. We would not ask FXCM about this. We do not believe it would go anywhere. There is some reason for why this is the case. FXCM does support Stop orders. So orders will be held in the SC software and will be executed to the FXCM order routing as market orders as soon as the price gets hit in SC. It is very unlikely we would add this because it only creates confusion and problems.
