Am I correct in saying symboling linking is only supported across charts but not between e.g. trading DOM and charts or time and sales window and trading DOM

Linking by symbol is supported across charts and Trade DOMs. This can be set through Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 2. Time and Sales windows are child windows of a chart.
