i have a custom study that's been working fine. i have an older computer (windows server 2019, Intel 740qm chip)
i want to run sierra chart on, but it seems to have problems loading the study. i copied the entire sierrachart folder over from the other (working) computer, running the same OS. when i try to add the study, i see an error message something to the effect of

"Error Loading: ...\study.dll. File not found or may be missing SCDLLName."

This immediately made me think of the 64-bit conversion that happened a couple years ago. SC is looking for a file that doesn't exist (study.dll). it should be looking for the "study_64.dll" file. As far as i can tell, the intel 740qm chip is a 64-bit chip, and the OS is 64 bit only. So im a bit baffled as to what's going on here. SC is up-to-date, running the sierrachart_64.exe, verified the study_64.dll file is in the data folder. and if i recall correctly, i was able to run sierra chart previously on this computer, with windows 7/10.

Sierra Chart will automatically do this:
. it should be looking for the "study_64.dll" file.

There may be a missing DLL dependency file.

Also do you see the custom studies from that file listed in Analysis >> Studies >> Add Custom Study.

I'm getting the following error on several custom studies in my charts:"Error loading: C:\SierraChart\Data\UserContributedStudies.dll. File not found or may be missing SC..."
This affects at least my "Weekly VWAP" study (ID:1), and possibly other custom/user-contributed studies configured on my chart using the same DLL.

If you are missing your UserContributedStudies.dll file, then this is most likely due to your anti-virus software thinking that the file is malicious.

The file is fine, and you should put an exception into your anti-virus for all of the Sierra Chart folders.

Once you have taken care of your anti-virus, then you can "update" your Sierra Chart (even to the same version, if you want) and the file will get installed again. Follow these instructions if you want to update to the same version you are currently on (you will need to note your current version before doing the update):
