I see that this is posted in the old board but cannot post a reply.

Please bring back this functionality. I am seriously thinking of downgrading only for this. I used the right click (after double-clicking a drawing) to delete a drawing at least 50 times a day and now we need to use the keyboard to delete a drawing or select delete from a menu.

See here too: http://www.sierrachart.com/supportboard/showpost.php?p=188344&postcount=8

Thank you.

When available, ver 993 will have a new option: Tools >> Tool Settings >> Enable Delete Selected Drawing With Right Click

When this option is enabled, a right click will delete the currently selected drawing. This will only work with a single selection.

With this option enabled, you can still get the drawing context menu by right clicking over a non-selected drawing.

I have installed 993 and chosen the option as you described it above. However, when I select a drawing (by left double clicking on it) and then right-click nothing happens. Is the option live or just appearing in the menu?

I see what you mean. But please make it work as it used to. I only use Chart calculator (with crosshair always on), never Pointer or Chart values. So, I can only "select" a drawing by double clicking on it. What I used to do was to double-click on a drawing and then delete it with a right click. Please bring this back.

Thank you.

Can you please bring this back, please?

I do not understand why it was removed, or why is it so difficult to bring back. I need to double click a drawing and delete it with a right click (I have chart calculator as my default tool). I spend too much of my time right-clicking on drawings just to select Erase.

Thank you.

When you double-click a drawing this invokes a drawing movement operation. When you right-click, it then cancels that operation which restores a drawing back to where it was previously. This will not change.

There are other methods to delete a drawing. For example you can press the Delete key. After this left click on a drawing that you want to delete. By doing it this way, it is a very clean way that does not involve a potentially stressful operation with the hand.

I know of the other ways I can delete a drawing. What I do not understand is why this behavior was changed, is there a technical reason for this? I do not ask for a difficult new feature, just something that existed and worked perfectly. I do not recall that the way it worked cancelled the moving operation (not sure though).
