Problems with Tic size in some charts

Hello

I'm having some problems with tic size settings in some charts. On some charts the tic size seems to be off by an order of magnitude even though the tic size is set properly in the global symbol settings. This inaccuracy shows up when using tools and on the profit and loss in position pricing. For example today in gold futures, GC, every tic was showing in the chart as a value of 100 dollars instead of 10 which is what it is set to global symbol settings? Same is true using tools. If I have a bar in GC that is .8 tall the ruler will show this as 80 tics?

I'm having this problem on several charts but not all so I'm sure it is a setting somewhere just not seeing it.

Thanks for your help

Perform a Full Reset of the symbol settings by following the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#FullResetSymbolSettingsSteps

After that, apply the settings to any chart which has the described problem by following these instructions:

Hello

Thanks for the response. Performed the full symbol reset and disconnect and reconnect. Then applied the global symbol settings but I am still having the issue?

Thanks in advance

This is not making sense why you would have a problem.

What is the Tick Size setting you see in Chart >> Chart Settings for the chart and what is the symbol of the chart?

I agree. This is very confusing.

Symbol: GC-######-NYMEX
Tick Size: 0.100000
Currency Value per Tick: 10

But this is not how the tools are behaving. If I put the ruler on a bar that is .8 tall it shows the number of tics is 80? And the currency value shows as 800 instead of 80? Like the tick value is .01?

Another thing I just noticed. I have the "Adjust Tool Values to Tick Size" option set to true. But when I'm on the chart moving the crosshairs bar it moves like the tick value is .01?

So I was experimenting with this and I found what was causing the problem but do not understand how it could be happening . I had a custom study, in chart region 2, on the chart and when I removed it and then reapplied the global symbol settings it was fixed. I added the study back and the chart tic size was broken again? How could my study impact the tic size on the main price chart? Very confusing. Thanks for your help.

Is the Tick Size actually changing with the custom study?

A custom study can do that.

No it does not changes the tic size. Actually did not know you could do that. This same study is applied to other charts with no impact? Very strange.

Recompile the source code of the study. Refer to:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_BuildCustomStudiesDLL.html

If you still see the problem, then the study has a bug in it.

OK - Any idea what kind of a bug might cause that issue?

Memory corruption which will lead to general instability in Sierra Chart.

Ok - maybe that could be the case but have not seen any instability and odd it works in some charts. But I guess that is the way memory problems are. I'll take a look. Thanks for your help.
