Hello SC, I've recently switched to non-CLR version and am currently trying to replicate a quote spreadsheet from .NET version of SC. I tried to follow through steps documented here
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GettingQuotes.html#QuotesonSpreadsheets

but it didn't work. How can I replicate my quote spreadsheet to non-CLR version? Is that functionality supported in non-CLR? Thanks.

You need to select File >> New Quote Spreadsheet.

To enter data into a cell on a non-CLR Spreadsheet you first need to click two times in the cell to open the edit box for the cell.

Enter the data.

Press the OK button to save it.

When you enter symbols in column A, do not prefix the symbol with a / or #. Just enter the symbol on its own.

Update. I re-installed SC. Now I can add symbols, but a header line doesn't appear (when I enter either ##HD or HD or anything else). Sorry my ignorance, but how may I get a header and create groups of symbols?

We will check on the header.

What do you mean by "create groups of symbols". You just enter the symbols you want into column A. This is all.

So it looks like you want to add a comment in the column for symbols. We can support that.

Yes, but that "comment" feature isn't a critical point.
When may I expect the HEADER (and possibly COMMENT) issues to be fixed? The "Fix Column" function doesn't work as well… Please excuse an Excel user…
Another weird thing is that non-CLR doesn't save settings in a correct way. It always opens a chart that has greatest # (in any given chartbook) = latest created one. By clicking “Save” or “Save All” I assume the application (after the next log in or chartbook opening) to load exactly THE SAME chart that was on my screens at the moment I closed a chartbook or exited SC (some of my chartbooks have up to 20 charts and scrolling them every time to the very left is somewhat annoying). Thanks.

Within two weeks.

This functionality is very simple in the way it works.

Thanks.
We are not understanding this.

When you open a Chartbook, the chart that last had the focus will get the focus.

And what do you mean by scrolling them to the very left? The charts are always scrolled to the very end when they are opened. There definitely could not be a problem with this at all. We have never heard of such a thing.

Thanks for the info.
When you open a Chartbook, the chart that last had the focus will get the focus.
That doesn't work in this way.
Sorry for confusing, I meant scrolling of a chartbook not charts (getting to a very beginning of a chartbook, e.g. to chart #1).
OK. Below is detailed description of my steps.
1.  Start SC, connect to trading service.
2.  Click File>>Chartbook21 (on the list of recent files). Get the chartbook open. The chartbook “focuses” on chart #11
3.  Go to chart #2 (beginning of the chartbook). Now chart #2 is active.
4.  Click File>>Save all. Click "Yes".
5.  Click File>>Close chartbook. SC asks to save, click “Yes”. The chartbook is closed.
6.  Click File>>Chartbook21. Get the chartbook open. Get chart #11 active on my screen instead of chart #2.

I have 11 charts in that particular chartbook. And that never happened in .NET version. Thanks.

We were not able to duplicate this. However, we did make a change that when a Spreadsheet window is opened by the Spreadsheet study, it will be opened in the background. Maybe this will help.

This is in the latest prerelease.

No, it didn't help. It looks like that problem is relevant to chartbooks created in .NET version as well as to charts duplicated from those old chartbooks. New chartbooks with newly created charts (in non-CLR) do not have that issue.

Hi SC,

How to enter Header and comment in quote spreadsheet using non-CLR (version 1174)? I tried ##HD but failed.

The Quote Spreadsheet header is something which should be automatically displayed and we will be looking into that.
