Hello Support, There seems to be a problem attaching orders to charts using IB as the trading provider. I attach a limit order of say 48.00 to the chart, but when the confirmation comes up, it says 50? Are there any changes I need to make in TWS? Thanks |

We apologize for the delay with responding. We were not quite sure about this. Are you referring to the order confirmation within Sierra Chart? And can you explain exactly how you are entering the order. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. basically, I have disabled the Adjust Tool Values to Tick Size because of the crosshair problem. I trade from the chart, so I find a price and right click and select buy/sell limit. However, Sierra Charts rounds up or down the value for some reason. Say if I select 65 price, i get a confirmation of 60. And this is only on stocks. See screenshot. |

I think I may have found the problem. This problem as far as I can see, its only on UK Stocks. US stocks its fine. Basically, the settings that need changing on the UK Stocks is the following: Chart - Chart settings - Tick Size. Currently, its on 10.000000. When I change this to 0.010000, it fixes the problem. However, when I change symbols using the Quoteboard, it reverts back to 10.000000. Is there anyway to make 0.010000 the default Tick Size? Also, the Price Display Format on the UK Charts is 1. Can I change this to 0.01 as default? Thanks. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-06-05 15:15:54

You can set the default settings for LSE stocks in the Global Symbol Settings: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php You will want to use this pattern: ****-STK-LSE Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We have already added the necessary symbol settings for the LSE stock symbols. Restart Sierra Chart to get them. You will need to apply them to the chart following the instructions here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateChartSettingsSteps Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
