SC, could you please provide a description in the change log each and every time you make a new release or a new pre-release?

And, on the Software Download page, would it be applicable to list the current version number of the Non-CLR release? If so, could you always do so?

We cannot promise this. It simply is not practical for us to be doing that.

We do our best to keep that page up-to-date as soon as we can and list the major items that need to be listed. But we cannot be doing it every time.

The non-CLR version is always the latest version.

OK. Then, I need to determine if it's practical for me to use the "Pre-Release" versions. Please help me out here.

What's the criteria for SC determining that a new release is a "Pre-Release" instead of a (full) "Release"?

What are the trading risks of using a "Pre-Release" over using a "Release"?

A pre-release is simply a release that has just been made. Generally there are no known issues. But there could be some area of development we have done that might not be totally complete and we want more time to think about it and make improvements and work out any potential problems with it.

Based on actual results, there really is very little risk of encountering a problem on a prerelease compared to a main release. We are not going to be knowingly releasing any functionality which does not work properly.

At this time, the only known problem with the the current pre-release is that ACSIL studies that use the Volume at Price data have to be recompiled. There was an inadvertent change requiring this.
