Is there a way to highlight a window by just moving the mouse to that window? For example, if I have 3 chart windows open and I have clicked on the middle window, then as normal that window is active. However, is there a way for SC to highlight my first chart window without clicking on it? I would just move the mouse pointer to that window and it would automatically highlight. I am running Win 11 home. Sierra Charts are the best, in my opinion. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-12-01 18:57:08

If there is a capability to do this, it would be built into the Operating System and not something we would do. For instance, what you are stating was something that could be setup on a Linux system several years ago (back when I was working with them). I am not aware of this capability within Windows, but there might be something out there.

Thanks, John - SC Support. You directed me to the right spot. It is indeed OS specific and not SC specific. Using Win 11 Home I went to the Control Panel > Ease of access > From the Ease of access center > I selected change how your mouse works > Under make it easier to manage Windows, I checked the box in front of the line that reads, Activate a Window by hovering over it with the mouse. I restarted SC and tested to see if a window would become active just by moving the mouse to that window and IT WORKED! No need to click inside that window. Lo and Behold, it is going to snow in July in Florida. :+) SC charts are the best, in my opinion. Hope this will help someone else too. You can close this post now, if you would like. Problem solved. |

Thanks. We did not know that option existed in Windows. Good to know.
