AMZN split 20:1 on June 6, 2022. I'm using the BarChart data. Volumes in the historical .dly file have been adjusted for the split, but some volumes in the .scid data have not. Deleting the .scid file and re-downloading still shows some volumes that are not adjusted. A 1-day intraday chart with the Volume study appears to show correct volumes before Jan 2018 and after Jun 2022 but not in between. For example, the 1-day intraday bar on 6/6/2022 has a volume of about 102 million shares. The 1-day intraday bar of June 3 has a volume of about 1.8 Million shares. Thanks, Dale |

We are still looking this over. To see the cause if we can.

We have looked into this and we do not know why there is a problem. Definitely does seem to be related to the stock split. When a stock split is performed, the volume is automatically adjusted higher based upon the split ratio. We see no problem with that functionality. Maybe it has something to do with odd lot trades. Those are never included and in the case of when Amazon stock was higher in value there was a lot more odd lot trades occurring which were never included in the volume data. Now that Amazon prices are lower, trades of 100 and greater are more common. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
