Hello, I was wondering if anything can be done to fix the difference in my own sierra tick chart, compared to a tick chart used by Ninja Platform. The same symbol, the same 2000 tick chart, same time. I tried to basically replicate what i saw in Ninja. The Ninja chart is not my own but from a video. I'm using denali with teton, and they are using Rithmic. Is it simply because of the difference in data providers and nothing can be done, or can i do something about it ? There are some deviations in bar lengths, if its an up or down bar, the wicks are different, ect... There are 2 screenshots below so you can easily notice the difference. New bar at session start is set to yes, intraday data storage to 1 tick, split data records to yes, so i think i'm all set. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-11-05 19:44:48

Interesting. I wonder why that is, since we are both on the same feed. Maybe someone from support can explain. Shouldn't we all get the same exact bar representation if using the same feed on the same instrument. Maybe i'm just nitpicking here.

In Sierra, the setting at 'Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> New Bar At Session Start' will affect the display of tick (#trades) charts. Also, the setting at 'Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method' will affect the display of tick charts. IOW, when the first bar is created affects all subsequent bars. This would be in addition to data feed differences. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-11-06 00:52:04

Also, the setting at 'Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method' will affect the display of tick charts. Left that at default. Loads up 30 days of data. But since FH87 said that the charts look different on the same feed, same instrument, but 2 different computers, i think it's safe to say that we don't all see the exact same thing. |
