I have service pack 11 ($46) plus the Denali-NASDAQ US stock data ($16). Do I also need to activate the 250 real time symbols ($25)? I seem to be getting real-time data for the stocks I trade, so not sure what the 250 real-time symbols will get me? Is there additional market data I am missing by not activating that?

The 250 symbols is for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. If you do not need any specific data from that data feed, then you do not need to enable that option. Refer to the following for what exchanges are available on the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Supported Exchanges

Note that the U.S. Equities exchange that is part of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed is a completely separate data feed from the Denali NASDAQ TotalView and is not needed if you are using the NASDAQ TotalView.

Hello

I'm currently evaluating package 12 and was on denali but switched to 250 symbols (25$) plus equities data feed (10,50$) and still don't receive real-time data for stocks, they're 15 minutes delayed even though the message log says it's active:

Will I be getting real-time data if I switch back to 10-11 denali package + Denali-NASDAQ US stock data ($16) same as the author of a thread? I don't need 250 symbols, only up to 20. How many are included with this 16$ package? Are they pre-set or just whatever I input with -NQTV?

Also it says I don't need a funded account to get data but let me know if I do and thank you for a thread about small accounts brokers to pass this requirement.

We are pretty sure that the reason you are getting the delayed data is because you did not change your symbols. When you use the -NQTV for the symbols that is specifically for the data from the NASDAQ TotalView exchange that is part of the Denali Exchange Data Feed. In order to get the data from the U.S. Equities exchange that is part of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed you need to remove the -NQTV suffix and just leave the core exchange symbol (IBM instead of IBM-NQTV).

Therefore, you do not need to change your package or data feed. In answer to your question though, the Denali Exchange Data Feed does not have any symbol limits. The symbol limits only apply to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, and 250 is the smallest number we offer. It's more a matter of if you need to pay for more, then we have more expensive options for that.

And finally, with regards to the broker issue - that is only for the non-professional data from the CME Group. Any other data does not have this requirement, so you are fine being on Package 5 and not connecting to a broker.
